Bio-Sensor system is a device which detects an analyte that consist of biological component and a physicochemical component. It helps the humans to detect the presence of pesticide in the environment. Some of the patented methods are mentioned below.

Patent no: 6,965,791 titled ‘Implantable biosensor system, apparatus and method’ with the abstract: An implantable biosensor assembly and system includes an enzymatic sensor probe from which subcutaneous and interstitial glucose levels may be inferred. The assembly may be associated by direct percutaneous connection with electronics, such as for signal amplification, sensor polarization, and data download, manipulation, display, and storage. The biosensor comprises a miniature probe characterized by lateral flexibility and tensile strength and has large electrode surface area for increased sensitivity. Irritation of tissues surrounding the probe is minimized due to ease of flexibility and small cross section of the sensor. Foreign body reaction is diminished due to a microscopically rough porous probe surface.

Patent no: 6,557,416 titled ‘High resolution biosensor system’ with the abstract: A high resolution biosensing system for detecting and identifying a biochemical material to be tested by using proportional relationship between frequency variation of oscillation and mass of the biochemical material to be tested comprises a biosensor; an oscillatorfor generating oscillation based on the sensed result; a phase-lock loop circuit receiving the oscillation of the oscillator and generating pulse signals;an ultra-high frequency counter for counting the pulse signals; and a microprocessor for storing and displaying output from the ultra-high frequency counter and for controlling the oscillator. The phase-lock loop circuit generates the pulse signals of a frequency, which is n times the frequency of the oscillator and with a constant phase difference there between to trigger the ultra-high frequency counter. Accordingly, the resolution can be raised up to n times.

Patent no: 5,702,915 titled ‘Toxicity detecting biosensor system’ with the abstract: A biosensor for detecting the toxicity of a sample includes a solid-state area image pickup element, a culture container positioned on an upper surface of a light-receiving portion of the element, at least a bottom surface of the culture container being formed of transparent material, a cell cultured in the culture container, and culture medium for growing the cell.

Patent no: 5,313,264 titled ‘Optical biosensor system’ with the abstract: An optical biosensor system using internal reflection versus angle of incidence determination for the detection of biomolecules, the system comprising a sensor unit (10) with at least two sensing surfaces (39A-D), a source of light (1), and lens means (2) for forming a convergent beam of light which is focused in wedge-shape fashion to form a streak of light (5) extending transversely over all the sensing surfaces; a photodetector device (7) in the form of a two-dimensional matrix of individual photodetector; optical imaging instrumentation in the form of an anamorphic lens system (6) for the purpose of imaging rays of reflected light from the sensing surfaces on each its own column of photodetectors, so that for each sensing surface there is a corresponding set of columns of photodetectors; and an evaluation unit (8) for determining the minimum reflectance or the resonance angle at each of the sensing surfaces. The invention also relates to a method for calibrating the biosensor system, a method for correcting for baseline drift as well as a method for temperature regulation of thermostat means in the biosensor system.
