The agents of the copyright or the attorneys do the Copyright Registration India at the office of the copyright of India. The office of the copyright in India is situated at New Delhi. The author or publisher or the owner of or other person interested in the copyright, any work may make an application in the prescribed form accompanied by the prescribed fee to the Registrar of Copyrights for entering particulars of the work in the Register of Copyrights. On receipt of application in respect of any work under from the owner or the author of the original literary, dramatic, musical and artistic works, cinematograph films, and sound recordings, the Registrar of Copyrights may, after holding such inquiry as he may deem fit, enter the particulars of the work in the Register of Copyrights.

After the Copyright Registration India if there is any wrong entry or omission or any error or defect in the original literary, dramatic, musical and artistic works, cinematograph films, and sound recordings the owner or the author or the aggrieved person may on application apply to the registrar and the registrar shall order rectification. The author or the owner of the copyright can amend or alter the register of the copyrights by correction any error in any name, address or particulars or another errors which may have come by accidental slip or omission subject to the prescribed conditions under the copyright act in the prescribed cases.

Every entry made in the Register of Copyrights or the particulars of any work entered under the act, the correction of every entry made in such register under the act and every rectification ordered under the act, shall be published by the Registrar of Copyrights in the Official Gazette or in such other manner as he may deem fit. Thus the Copyright Registration India is undertaken under the law of copyright.
