In Patent no: 6,135,941 titled ‘Human immune system associated molecules’, the methods that are patented involved in improving the immunity system of humans. With the abstract the invention provides human immune system associated proteins (HISAP) and polynucleotides which identify and encode HISAP. The invention also provides expression vectors, host cells, antibodies, agonists, and antagonists. The invention also provides methods for treating or preventing disorders associated with expression of HISAP.

Patent no: 6,060,643 titled ‘Mouse model with human immune system’ with the abstract The present invention provides a non-human genetically immunodeficient mammal the peripheral blood of which contains a non-lethal percent of T-cells of human origin which is at least 20% as well as a non-human genetically immunodeficient mammal having a lethal percent of T-cells of human origin in the peripheral blood which is at least 60%. Also provided is a method of screening a substance for anti-HIV activity comprising obtaining a non-human genetically immunodeficient mammal having a lethal percent of human T-cells in the peripheral blood which is at least 60%; infecting the mammal with an amount of HIV sufficient to rescue the mammal from death from the effects of the lethal percent of human T-cells; administering the substance to the mammal; and determining if the substance kills the mammal by inhibiting the rescue of the mammal by HIV, the death of the mammal indicating a substance having anti-HIV activity.

Patent no: 5,663,481 titled ‘Animal model of the human immune system’ with the abstract The present invention relates to a non-human chimeric mammal having characteristics of a functional human immune system and having functional human lymphocytes reconstituted in the mammal's lymphopoietic tissue, particularly the spleen. The invention also relates to a method of preparing a non-human chimeric mammal, having characteristics of a functional human immune system, by engraftment of human peripheral blood leukocytes into an immunocompromised mammal. Use of the chimeric mammal as a model of the human immune system is described.

Patent no : 5,626,883 titled ‘Ascorbic acid compositions providing enhanced human immune system activity’ with the abstract A vitamin C supplement comprising ascorbic acid, ascorbyl palmitate, niacinamide ascorbate, calcium ascorbate, magnesium ascorbate, potassium ascorbate, and sodium ascorbate which together can be administered to a human to avoid the transitory initial suppression of human NK cell activity which is present when ascorbic acid alone is administered. Also included is xylitol, lysine acetate, tetrasodium pyrophosphate, ribose, cysteine, and hesperidin which further prolongs the biological activity of ascorbic acid and promotes the uptake of ascorbic acid by human tissue.

Patent no: 4,908,207 titled ‘Method of treatment of a person having a compromised human immune system’ with the abstract A method of producing a composition for use in the treatment of a compromised human immune system is described. The active ingredient in the ingredient in the composition is a mixture of terpenoids derived from an extract of the tubers of the plant Cyperus rotundus Linn and is administered orally to a patient having a compromised immune system. The prepared extract can be in a powder form or in a volatile oil. The composition can also be administered parenterally. In clinical trials on humans a flavour enchanced composition derived from an agneous-based paste resulted in significant therapeutic benefit with no side effects. The production of the composition and method of a human patient having a compromised immune system is also described
