Monoclonal antibodies refer to the antibodies raised from the duplicated immune cells. Some of the patented methods are given below.

In patent no: 7,115,716 titled ‘Tumor specific monoclonal antibodies’ with the abstract the invention provides tumor-specific human monoclonal antibodies and functional fragments. Also provided are nucleic acids encoding tumor-specific human monoclonal antibodies and functional fragments. A method for reducing neoplastic cell proliferation is also provided. The method consists of administering an effective amount of a tumor-specific human monoclonal antibody or functional fragment. Also provided is a method of detecting a neoplastic cell in a sample. The method consists of contacting a cell with a tumor-specific monoclonal antibody or functional fragment and detecting the specific binding of the human monoclonal antibody or functional fragment to the sample.

Patent no: 7,115,264 titled ‘ Monoclonal antibodies to the fibronectin binding protein and method of use in treating or preventing infections’ with the abstract : Monoclonal antibodies which can bind to the Fnbp protein of Staphylococcus aureus and which are generated from a peptide from the D2 region of fibronectin binding protein B (Fnbp) of S. aureus are provided which can be useful in the treatment and protection against infection from staphylococcal bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus. The monoclonal antibodies of the invention are advantageous in that they bind S. aureus in high affinity and thus can be useful in the prevention of the adherence of staph bacteria to host cells by impairing or inhibiting the ability of S. aureus Fnbp to bind to fibronectin. Kits and methods of utilizing the monoclonal antibodies of the invention are also provided.

Patent no: 7,011,974 titled ‘Method for producing monoclonal antibodies’ with the abstract: An improved method for the production of monoclonal antibodies is disclosed.

Patent no: 7,060,270 titled ‘Methods and compositions of monoclonal antibodies specific for beta-amyloid proteins’ with the abstract This invention provides methods and compositions for the detection, diagnosis and treatment of amyloid-associated diseases, in particular, diseases comprising deposition of amyloid assemblies, fibrils, filaments, tangles, or plaques. A preferred composition comprises monoclonal antibodies that specifically bind amyloid proteins, peptides or fragments and change the conformation.

Patent no: 7,078,495 titled ‘Monoclonal antibodies to tacrolimus and immunoassay methods for tacrolimus’ with the abstract An IgG.sub.1 .lamda. Monoclonal antibody to the immunosuppressive drug tacrolimus has improved properties. In particular, this monoclonal antibody, designated 1H6, has reduced cross-reactivity to several tacrolimus metabolites. This antibody is suitable for performance of immunoassays such as homogeneous immunoassays to detect or determine the presence or concentration of tacrolimus in samples such as blood samples. The invention further includes derivatives of tacrolimus derivatized at a non-binding portion of the molecule useful in immunizing antibody-producing animals and in producing such monoclonal antibodies, as well as labeled derivatives of tacrolimus useful as tacrolimus analogues in such assays. The invention further includes immunoassay methods for the detection of tacrolimus and test kits useful in performing such immunoassays.

Patent no: 7,001,980 titled Monoclonal antibodies directed against the G3BP protein, and uses with the abstract The invention concerns monoclonal antibodies directed against the G3BP protein and cell lines producing them. The invention also concerns the use of said antibodies or their derivatives for obtaining medicines and diagnostic reagents.
